Michael Muiruri – Neighbourhood Manager for Kings Cross 10 Estates writes: – It has been a busy time lately; we have ongoing antisocial behaviour on the external area of the Priory Green Estate by the Old Laundry that we are trying to address and have been meeting with the local councillors and Police to discuss possible solutions.
We also have a team of Neighbourhood Managers now based at the Hugh Cubitt Office in Islington serving residents from the old Family Mosaic properties (now Peabody properties!) that have been coming in.
Fire safety and ensuring there is a safe means of escape from your home remains vitally important. We have inspected every single one of our block of flats. Unfortunately, we have discovered that 2 of the blocks have suspect cladding that may increase the risk for residents should there be a fire.
For these 2 blocks we have hired fire wardens who are patrolling them 24 hours; 7 days a week. In the meantime, Peabody is working closely with various agencies including the London fire brigade to come with a solution on how we will alleviate the situation.
