The holidays are fast approaching, but fastforward to after all the mince pies and you’ll realise that 2012 will be an exciting year for Hugh Cubitt. Starting January and the New Year off with a bang will be a new parenting programme at Hugh Cubitt Centre called Strengthening Families, Strengthening Communities. Part educational course, part support group, the programme has been an invaluable resource for parents of children aged 3-18 at other Peabody neighbourhood community centres. It aims to help answer the tough questions about parenting, including how to build strong family relationships, and address issues of school, gangs, depression, drugs, and alcohol. The programme is free and includes free lunch and a free creche (limited spaces).
Programme dates: A 13-week programme, every Wednesday from 10am-1:30pm January 11th 2012 to April 25th 2012 except February Half Term (Feb. 15th) and Easter Break (April 4th and 11th)
Location: Hugh Cubitt Centre, 48 Collier Street, London N1 9QZ
